Synopse
He was subversive and gay, two things that made life very hard in the Soviet Union. Sergei Parajanov, rebel of Soviet cinema of the 1960s and 70s, admired by Federico Fellini and Michelangelo Antonioni for the visual beauty and poetic extravagance of his films, which were all very hard for Socialist realism to take. Parajanov is no conventional biopic, but a collage of episodes from the life of the Armenian director. From his first major international success in 1964 with Shadows of Our Ancestors to his years spent as a bird of paradise in the monochrome world of the gulag to his death: an artist who specialized in enchanting his audience and who despite everything remained true to himself. Screening on 04.10. and 05.10. in attendance of: Serge Avedikian (Director), Olena Fetisova (Director/Screenwriter/ Producer), Gorune Aprikian (Producer), Volodymyr Kozyr (Executive Producer)
