Synopse
Corrupt politicians, disappeared journalists and prisons full of hitmen: with frenetic camerawork and electrifying music, Erik Matti has made an epic political thriller based on real events. Sisoy gave up his principles long ago. The popular radio presenter surrounds himself with the rich and powerful and has got used to not looking too closely at the business they conduct. When his old friend Arnel and his colleagues from the local paper disappear, Sisoy remembers his past as a journalist and begin to investigate. He discovers that a certain Roman, a convict, is regularly smuggled out of jail to carry out contract killings.

ERIK MATTI (*1970) is a Philippine film-maker and a sharp critic of the Duterte government. His film On the Job was shown at Cannes in 2013. With On the Job: The Missing 8, Matti returns to the premise of the first film, but has made a completely independent film.
