Synopse
In her debut feature, director Katharina Lüdin’s tender, rebellious portrait of relationships in crisis. Summer heat in the suburbs and the feeling of conflict is never very far away for actress Merit. The relationship with her girlfriend Eva has long swung from crisis to standstill and back again. Merit fights her way clear and rehearses a play with ex-husband David. But theatre in one form or another seems all around her, while the actors seem to be rehearsing life. Fears for the future and traces of violence permeate the present. What remains is a longing for unconditionality – and the garden needs watering too.
