Synopse
DOCUMENTARY Bad boy – and aesthete: a fascinating portrait of Robert Mitchum which reveals little-known aspects of the actor. In the 1990s, photographer Bruce Weber persuaded Hollywood legend Robert Mitchum to participate in a documentary project on his life. When Mitchum died in 1997, Weber put the project on ice, only coming back to it years later. The film is an extremely open view of Mitchum, who during his lifetime tended to avoid interviews: behind the hard-man image is a cultivated and sensitive aesthete. Besides private moments, recording songs in the studio and personal memories, Weber also shows what it's like for a sex symbol to grow old.
