Synopse

Jonas Balzer (Benno Fürmann) and Marit Jansen (Maja Schöne) live together happily ascommon law man and wife with their adolescent children Selma (Maria Matschke) and Luis (MaxBoekhoff). When Marit one evening confesses to a fling, the pair decide to maketheirs an open relationship from now on. They see their partnership as strong enoughto be able to separate sex and family and to allow each other certain freedoms.But can it work without damaging family life? A modern, surprisingly permissive family drama.

After studying film in Nuremberg and Ludwigsburg, STEFAN KROHMER (*1971) has directed numerous cinema and TV films mostly written by Daniel Nocke, including They’ve Got Knut (2003), Dutschke (2009) and Die Zeit mit Euch (2014). His two-parter Neu in Unserer Familie was shown in competition in the TV section of FILMFEST HAMBURG 2016.
