Synopse
The world between globalized clan and doll's house, a playful portrait of a shy girl. Yael is often alone: her father works abroad, her mother till late in the evening. But the eight-year old prefers her own company anyway and communicates with the rest of the world only indirectly: by letter, phone or the cassettes her father sends. By allowing herself to concentrate on Yael's dreamlike view of life, Shireen Seno has created a magical film at eye level with her main protagonist and at the same time a subjective eye-witness account of the turbulent years in 1980s Manila.
