Synopse
Woody Grant (Bruce Dern) is no longer of sound mind. At least that's what his wife and two sons think. Especially when the oddball takes seriously a letter telling him he's won the lottery and then wants to go to Nebraska to pick up his winnings. In the end, his son David takes pity on his father and agrees to drive him there. On the way, they stop in Woody's old home town and soon half the population knows what's going on. Relatives and friends celebrate the millionaire-to-be - with one eye more or less openly on the money. David tries to sort out the misunderstanding, but instead finds himself gradually seeing his father in a new light.
