Synopse
Images and scenery recall the Wild West, but the backdrop for this Kurdish Western is a provincial backwater in the no-man's-land between Iran, Iraq and Turkey. Once upon a time, Baran was a fighter for Kurdish independence, now he is transferred to the area as police chief. He quickly comes into conflict with the corrupt tribal chief Aga Azzi and his gang, who smuggle alcohol and drugs. Baran meets the young teacher Govend, who lives as an unmarried woman outside the bounds of normal society. Baran and Govend form an alliance of two outsiders in the fight against a violent, patriarchal society. Screening on 29.09. in attendance of: Hiner Saleem (Director), Benny Drechsel (Producer), Korkmaz Arslan (Cast)
