Synopse

2009, a run-down little town somewhere in Serbia. While thousands of miles away Michael Jackson announces his comeback tour, hairdresser Marko's marriage is in tatters. His wife has had enough of her monotonous existence and is planning to leave him. Marko wants to prevent this at any price. To reanimate the comatose community and save his marriage, he has a crazy idea: replacing an old Soviet monument with one to Michael Jackson. The suggestion electrifies the town. But Marco hasn't reckoned with the mayor - or the King of Pop himself. A black comedy marked by the extreme realism of the world it portrays. Tickets for the screening in Heide are only available at the LichtBlick Filmtheater Heide.

Regie

After the outbreak of civil war, in 1991 Darko Lungulov left his native Serbia for New York. His first film Here and There (FILMFEST HAMBURG 009) was a great success, winning 20 awards at festivals all over the world.
