Synopse
After a long stay in Mexico, Paula returns to Paris. With no money and no plans for the future, one after another she gets in touch with her old friends again. But time and again the door is slammed in her face. Even her old lover, a photographer who made his name thanks to an early photo of Paula, rebuffs her. For Paula this is no reason to give up. She is full of energy and obstinacy and knows: she has to make a new start – and will do it in style. Montparnasse Bienvenüe was shot with an almost exclusively female crew and lives from the ambivalent nature of the main character, who has all the extremes of emotion at her fingertips.
