Synopse
A master of words, Jean-Philippe Toussaint won the Junior Scrabble World Championship in 1973. 12 years later, he wrote Monsieur, a novel about someone nameless who would be lost for words at having to explain why he and his fiancée had broken up. He had not followed events all too closely, but remembered only that the number of complaints held against him seemed quite considerable. In 1990 Toussaint made a film of his story. Bizarre, absurd, socio-critical.
