Synopse
Rome, 1984: Aria is nine, smitten with the coolest boy in her school and a pawn in the divorce of her eccentric parents. Her mother (Charlotte Gainsbourg) is a celebrated pianist, her father (Gabriel Garko) a well-known actor – and the daughter is just in the way of her Bohemian parents, unable to expect any sympathy or understanding at home. So she roams the streets with her black cat, making her first experiences of freedom and loneliness, punks and cigarettes in the colourful surroundings of 1980s Rome. Asia Argento has created a great drama about a little girl by concentrating solely on the perspective of the 9-year old and her chaotic feelings.
