Synopse
Student Tracy (Lola Kirke) is new to New York and bitterly disappointed. Where's the pulsating metropolis she'd looked forward to? Her seminars are dull, her flatmate is evil and the object of her desires has a pathologically jealous girlfriend. So it makes sense that she also gets rejected by the literary magazine she'd like to work for. But Tracy's life goes up several gears when she meets Brooke, her future stepsister. Brooke (Greta Gerwick) has that big city drive. She plays in a band, has cool friends and is full of ideas. Her next project is her own restaurant. Then an important sponsor leaves her in the lurch. So, led by the impulsive Brooke, the two near-sisters set out to find a new source of finance. Mistress America is an extremely funny, intelligent New York comedy with a star-studded ensemble.
