Synopse

"Miss Senior Sweetheart" is a beauty contest for women older than 58. It exists since 1978, and takes place in Fall River, a minor town in Massachusetts. Director Sabine Steyer accompanied three participants on their way to the contest, throughout the preparations and rehearsals leading up to the choreography at the centre of the event, culminating in the crowning of Miss Senior Sweetheart. Their life stories tell a tale of growing old and staying young, of longing, death and the joy of life.
