Synopse

Nine-year-old Marta is sent to her beloved grandfather Janosch in the country for a while. But the formerly familiar surroundings have changed: Marta is confronted with a grandfather who keeps forgetting things, dresses in a strange way and sometimes can get very aggressive. Marta comprehends that Janosch suffers from a disease and she has to act more and more grown-up.

CHRISTIAN SCHWOCHOW (*1978) has won numerous awards for his films including a Grimme Preis for The Tower, Bornholmer Straße, Die Täter – Heute ist nicht alle Tage [TV mini-series] and Bad Banks. In 2006, FILMFEST HAMBURG showed his mid-length film Marta and her Flying Grandfather.
