Synopse

"1929 marked the advent of sound in films and thousands of musicians were made redundant!" Manya was 18, and a cellist. She switched to the accordeon and the varieté stage, then entertained the troops during the war. In the 50s she founded "The Manyas" and travelled the Middle East. The debut film-makers spent three years visiting their champagne-drinking, chain-smoking heroine, now in her 90s. A personal and historical look at the last century.
