Synopse
Lucas and Ludmilla live on the street in Buenos Aires and are in love. The city is a broad stage for the couple and their love. Rules, for instance, are something for other people: Lucas and Ludmilla have their own anarchic plan. Lucas commits crimes just for fun, to make Ludmilla laugh. Holds up a chemist's and begins to sing and dance. Or shoots up a monument. Just like that. But Lucas is slowly losing himself in the limitless possibilities of unlimited freedom. With increasing frequency, he leaves Ludmilla on her own – until one day the girl gets fed up of waiting for him and returns to her family. Lucas is left alone with his gun. Lúlu is the vibrant portrait of an unusual love and reminiscent of the films of the French nouvelle vague of the 1960s,

LUIS ORTEGA (*1980) moved to the USA aged three and returned at 15 to Buenos Aires, where he studied at the Universidad del Cine Film. His debut Black Box (2001) won several prizes. Lúlu is his sixth feature film.
