Synopse
90-year old loner Lucky (Harry Dean Stanton) lives in a remote part of the Arizonan desert. A war veteran, passionate chain smoker and atheist, he has outlived most of his friends and companions. But he loves living alone and the routine that has characterized his existence for years: he starts his day with five yoga exercises, then roams around for a while and in the evening watches his favourite game shows on TV. One of the few people Lucky has regular contact with is Howard (David Lynch), who is always telling Lucky about his tortoise President Roosevelt, who has unfortunately escaped. After a fall, however, it's clear to the unsentimental, pragmatic Lucky that he has arrived at the end of his life and at the age of 90 he has to reorientate himself. Lucky is a declaration of love of life, full of gruff lyricism and bitter-sweet humour, located fair and square in the cosmos of David Lynch. Character actor Harry Dean Stanton gives the performance of his life.
