Synopse
Sailor Farrel (Juan Fernandez) asks his captain for land leave in the Argentine harbour of Ushuaia to find out if his mother is still alive. Farrel has been at sea for 20 years, is an alcoholic, pays for sex and has no friends. Besides his mother, he encounters a new family member of whom he knew nothing… "Liverpool" was praised at the Cannes Festival for its brilliant images and its minimal, poetic narrative. A melancholy tale of solitude, set in the majestic mountains of the Tierra del Fuego.
