Synopse
A group of Indios including Fachin Ruiz occupy the Pluspetrol airstrip in Peruvian Amazonia. The oil multinational is responsible for destroying their basis for life: the rivers are full of oil and chemicals and the mortality rate among the children is high. The police break up the demonstration violently and suddenly a policeman lies dead. Fachin and a handful of his compadres are accused of murder, arrested and appear in court a day’s trek away from their families. Their opponents are all-powerful and the justice system corrupt. The only hope for the accused is a lawyer – and a sole witness. But he fears for his life and goes to ground.
