Synopse
Fleisch ist sein Gemüse: In Schinkenstraße, the epicentre of Mallorca’s German party scene, humorist Heinz Strunk tries his luck as a musician. His goal: the next big Ballermann hit. Two awkward men in their mid-50s, trumpeter Torben (Marc Hosemann) and saxophonist Peter (Heinz Strunk), are unceremoniously fired by the leader of their dance band Boarding Time. What now? At a jam session someone comes up with an idea: Peter and Torben should go to Mallorca and become Schlager stars in El Arenal. The road to stardom is however paved with complications like song theft, holiday romance and Torben’s suspicious wife Ilona (Bettina Stucky).
Regie
After starting out making documentaries, JONAS GROSCH (*1981 in Freiburg/Breisgau) made his first feature film in 2009: Résiste! Aufstand der Praktikanten, which also premiered in the same year at FILMFEST HAMBURG.
