Synopse
Misael lives in the inmensity of the country side in the Argentinian province of La Pampa, working with his axe. He gets by only with the minimum necessary and almost no contact with other people. We follow him minute by minute, as we try to discover, through small actions, his way of being in the world.
Regie
Lisandro Alonso (*1975) is one of the most significant innovators in world cinema. His film Liverpool was shown at Hamburg FilmFest in 2008. After La libertad (2001, shown at FILMFEST HAMBURG 010 in the retrospective ARGENTINA DELUXE) Jauja is the Argentine's second film to be shown at Cannes in Un Certain Regard.
