Synopse
Moral courage in a society which lacks a state monopoly on violence: this gripping kidnap thriller from Mexico portrays a mother who sets out to search for her daughter. Cielo’s daughter Laura is kidnapped. Despite the payment of several ransoms, the child is not returned. With no support from the local police, the mother starts following up clues in the swamp of universal suspicion. She meets Lamarque, a member of the military with unconventional methods who is prepared to help her in her quest. But the nearer Cielo gets to her daughter, the deeper she is dragged into the vortex of violence.
