Synopse

Over a million people have been to see this film in Sweden, a country with a population of 8.6 million. Högboträsk is a sleepy provincial town where the police spend their days knitting and killing time. When head office in Stockholm announces the impending closure of the police station, the local cops begin staging a crime wave in order to save their jobs. It is not long before an inspector is sent to investigate from the city. "Jalla! Jalla!" director Josef Fares again demonstrates his love of absurd comedy, and at the same time his talent for perfectly-staged action scenes.

Josef Fares (*1971) was born in the Lebanonand grew up in Sweden. He made his firstfilm at age of 15. His comedies Jalla!Jalla! andKops were big successes in Germany.
