Synopse
Located on a remote island in the Oslo fjord, the prison camp-style Bastøy Boys Home functions as a reform school for "maladjusted" youth. With the stated goal of turning out "humble, useful Christians," the school officials systematically break their young charges through cruel discipline and exhausting manual labor. Everything changes with the arrival of hunky rebel Erling who rattles the authority of the governor and soon becomes the leader of a rebellion. The story is based on true events.
