Synopse
Nfissa is enjoying an outing to the seaside with her family when she is surrounded by a group of men, who harass and abuse the young mother so much that she ends up drowning. On land meanwhile, uncertainty and despair reign. Nfissa's husband calls the police, but her body is never found. Then, one by one, a mysterious series of deaths begins and male bathers are the victims. At the same time both political and fantastic, Kindil el Bahr – Medusa, the jelly fish – is inspired by ancient mythology about a sea creature capable of ruthless revenge. An Algerian horror film and an unusual parable on discrimination against women in the Arab world. The film will be shown in tandem with Dry Hot Summer.
