Synopse
Julie’s (Miranda Otto) life is irreversably shaken when she discovers that her husband and father of her twin children, Henry (William Fitchner), is having an affair – and that her ten-year-old son Nicolas (Ryan Smith) is terminally ill with cancer. In her desperate search for a doctor who can cure him, he travels from Canada to Poland, to ask the faith-healer Alexy (Lothaire Bluteau) for help. Julie’s journey is a journey to herself, to the periphery of the supernatural, where faith can move mountains. It was inspired by the true experiences of a friend of Agnieszka Holland’s with her sick child.
