Synopse
A gripping debut about power and control which gives insights into the life of a young sportswoman. Julie plays tennis at a Belgian academy and is seen as one of the most promising talents in the country. One day, her trainer’s unconventional methods are turned against him. He is suspended and an investigation begins, in the course of which all the female players at the club are encouraged to testify. Including Julie. But she decides to remain silent – and carry on training.

LEONARDO VAN DIJL (*1991 in Belgium) is an author and director. He began his career as a journalist for Vice Magazine. His short film Stephanie (2020) was shown widely, including at Cannes. Julie Keeps Quiet is his debut feature.
