Synopse

Young orphan Jane Eyre is shipped off to a stark boarding school by her vicious aunt and suffers greatly at the hands of the cold, unusually strict administration. After completing her education, Jane finds work as a governess for Adèle, the ward of Edward Rochester, the austere master of Thornfield Hall. It doesn't take long for Rochester to fall for the modest yet outspoken young woman who returns his feelings. On what was supposed to be the happiest day of Jane's life, however, a scandalous secret is revealed.

Regie

Cary Joji Fukunaga (*1977) received a student Academy Award in 2007 for his short Victoria para Chino. After Sin Nombre (2009) Jane Eyre is his second feature film.
