Synopse
Carmen travels from Southern Canada to Iqaluit in the North-East to look after her husband Gilles who works in a town almost solely inhabited by Inuits and has mysteriously been seriously injured. When Gilles dies, Carmen decides to stay and investigate the reason for his death. Her world is shattered when she learns that he had fathered a child with a local woman. Instead of leaving, however, she goes deeper into the Inuit community, makes friends – and comes across traces of a fatal drama. Iqaluit plunges into a world marked by alcohol and hopelessness and shows with documentary sangfroid the crass social divide between Canada's ethnic communities.
