Synopse

From slapstick to quietly touching, Panah Panahi’s debut film about a family at the crossroads is bursting with energy and humanity. A chaotic, loving family on a road trip through a rugged landscape. But where are they headed? On the back seat sits Dad with a broken leg. But is it really broken? Mum tries to laugh when she can’t hold back the tears. The boy performs car karaoke and bounces round inside the car like a loose firework. They all get upset about the sick dog. Only the elder son at the wheel says nothing.

PANAH PANAHI (*1984) is the son of the well-known Iranian director Jafar Panahi. He studied film at the University of Arts in Tehran.
