Synopse
DOCUMENTARY The meteoric rise and spectacular fall of the fashion designer John Galliano: a long-term study that offers insights in the extreme life of a hypercreative enfant terrible. After more than 15 years as the figurehead first of Givenchy and then Dior, in 2011 a video turned up in which a drunk John Galliano swearing and shouting racist and antisemitic abuse in a Paris bar. In his film, director Kevin Macdonald sheds light on the designer’s fall from grace and uses interviews with his friends and companions to illustrate the many facets of his personality. And he accompanies Galliano himself over the years that follow, as he attempts to make amends.

KEVIN MACDONALD (*1967 in Glasgow) is a British director, author and producer. He started out making documentary portraits of well-known people. His debut feature The Last King of Scotland (2006) won several awards.
