Synopse

Martin and Eline are a happy couple with two children and a holiday home in Tuscany. This last becomes their downfall as their bank clerk makes off with the money before the house is paid for. Then one disaster follows another. Are the looming shadows mere coincidence? Or are they the result of Martin’s desperate attempt at upholding social status? An exposure of the fears and longings of the European middle class.
