Synopse

In the cultural melting pot of Haifa, four stories interweave to form a network of lies and intrigue. Rami’s girlfriend is pregnant. He doesn’t want a child, she does. His wealthy parents are in financial difficulties, but his mother simply ignores the situation and carries on planning a large family celebration. Then there’s Miri, Rami’s girlfriend’s sister, whose daughter is depressed – while Miri tries to get her sister to dump Rami. A small car accident seems to have no consequences, but it’s enough to bring the whole fragile façade down, bit by bit.

SCANDAR COPTI (*1975 in Israel) is a film-maker and visual artist. Together with Yaron Shani, in 2009 he made the well-received film Ajami, which was nominated for an Oscar.
