Synopse

An unusual friendship between women, set against the baroque background of Dresden. The temperamental Latvian violinist Cora Wahry (Margarita Breitkreiz) is at risk of losing her career on account of a diseased hand. She seeks help with the renowned surgeon Heike Laurenz (Corinna Harfouch), who risks an operation that none of her colleagues are prepared to undertake. But Heike Laurenz is very sick herself… A parable about the questionableness of fame and the fragility of life plans.

THOMAS BERGER (*1959) has made numerous successful films for TV, including Siegfried Lenz adaptations like Die Flut ist pünktlich (2014), which was also shown at FILMFEST HAMBURG. His last film, shown last year, was Angst – Der Feind in meinem Haus.
