Synopse
Romeo is a doctor in a small town in Transylvania. He's always planned for his daughter Eliza to leave Romania at 18 to study abroad. The time is now approaching and Eliza has won a scholarship to study psychology in the UK and now only has to do her final exams. On the day before the first one, she is attacked and raped. It is unthinkable that she will still sit the exam, but Romeo pulls all the strings he knows to get her the desired leaving grades. To this end, he throws the moral principles he once taught his daughter out of the window. In his new film, Cristian Mungiu portrays a country eroded by corruption and a man wading ever deeper into the morass.
