Synopse
Documentary "Gimme danger, little stranger" sang The Stooges in 1973. Led by their charismatic, excessive front man Iggy Pop, the legendary band were pioneers of punk and from the mid 1960s to the start of the 70s the driving force of underground subculture. Bands like The Sex Pistols, The Damned, The Buzzcocks or Dinosaur Jr. would be hard to imagine without The Stooges. Jim Jarmusch has created a monument to the pioneers of punk. In the foreground of this electrifying trip down memory lane stands Iggy Pop, whom Jarmusch had already cast in Dead Man (1995) and Coffee And Cigarettes (2003). The 69-year old is a brilliant raconteur and entertainer, with great timing and self-irony. To link the interviews, Jarmusch has put together archive footage and short comic sections. A homage full of humour, wisdom and insanity.
