Synopse

The last days of a Volga-German family in the Argentinian provinces. The mother is alone with her teenage children Lucas and Brenda, the father lies in the cemetry. Due to a livestock disease, they have to give up their farm. The other villagers keep as far away from the Germans as possible. For them, the disease is a sign from God. For Lucas and Brenda, taking leave of their friends coincides with taking leave of their youth.Melancholy hangs like a blanket over the film whose roles are exclusively acted by amateurs. It implies more than it tells - in robust, occasionally ruthlessly realistic pictures.
