Synopse
In the late 1950s, director Paul Meyer was commissioned by the Belgian government to make a film about the successful integration of immigrants in the Walloon coal mining area. Inspired by Italian Neorealism, Meyer filmed grievant working conditions, homesickness and desolate ways of life. Now a classic black and white documentary, the film was officially 'lost' for decades.
