Synopse
Documentary For both people smugglers and refugees, Cyprus is a welcome loophole in Fortress Europe. Each year, thousands set out to seek their fortune on the Mediterranean island. Some make it, many die trying. The levels of migration are creating tensions among the inhabitants, some of whom try to exploit the refugees' presence with neo-Nazis. On the other hand, human rights groups promote tolerance towards the asylum seekers. Superbly shot, the film circles the conflict about identity and humanity, accompanied by the poetic, personal reflections of the director, who herself came to Cyprus as an immigrant.
