Synopse

In 1966, the 18-year-old Erika Schinegger wins the world championship title in women’s downhill skiing. However, she is as astonished as everyone else when medical tests reveal that she is in fact – a man. The gold medal is rescinded and Erika’s world falls apart. She decides to undergo surgery and renames herself Erik. This remarkable documentary reveals how Erik came to terms with his new identity.
