Synopse

In this road movie, car salesman Yvan (director Bouli Lanners himself) meets the young junkie Elie (Fabrice Adde) when the latter tries to break into his house. In tears, Elie confesses that he is totally broke. Yvan decides to bring the miserable wretch home to his parents on the French border – and simultaneously escape his dull everyday life. Wide open landscapes in drizzly rain, guitar chords that sound like soft breathing and two very original actors: no wonder the film won three awards in Cannes.
