Synopse
A remote village in post-war years becomes the scene for a bloody, naturalistic melodrama about love, death, and suicide. The director won the prize for best newcomer at the Festival of Locarno in 1973 with his portrait of a poor, repressive and backward community which lacks any touch of modern civility. The seduction of a naive girl by a philanderer causes an unwanted pregnancy and wreaks havoc.
