Synopse
Markku Pölönen's latest film is set in the early 1950s. Merti (Peter Franzén) has been retarded since receiving a head wound in the war, and is lost in the uncertainties of post-war Finland. Hearing about a dog a friend left behind, Merti becomes obsessed with finding it. Pölönen quietly and unspectacularly follows Merti's journey through the Finnish countryside in winter, where lumberjacks offer him both a place to stay and some human warmth.
