Synopse
This year's retrospective is devoted to the legendary vamp, Pola Negri. Polish by birth, she rose to fame in Germany and was one of the first actresses to move to Hollywood, in 1922. Ernst Lubitsch's silent comedy, "Die Bergkatze" (The Wildcat), is a love story between a lieutenant and a bandit's daughter and features a coloured fireworks sequence at its climax. The film will be accompanied by live music composed by Marie-Luise Bolte, played by piano, clarinet, violoncello and contrabass.
