Synopse

Documentary by Reinhold Beckmann and Falko Korth. In 1983 the well known West German Rock phenomenon Udo Lindenberg and his band the 'Panik Orchester' finally got permission to play at the FDJ-Peace Concert in East Berlin. A cheeky documentary of what really happened to commemorate 20 years of Reunification. Reinhold Beckmann, who was working as sound assistant for Westdeutscher Rundfunk at the time accompanied Udo on the tour.

The film will be followed by a discussion with Prof. Dr. Daniela Münkel, Head of Research at the Stasi Archives, on the Udo Lindenberg file.

Regie

FALKO KORTH, Absolvent der Hochschule Konrad Wolf in Babelsberg, arbeitete als Redakteur beim MDR und bei Sat.1 und ist jetzt als Autor, Regisseur und Producer tätig. Seine Doku "Freiheit! Das Ende der DDR" wurde 2009 mit dem Bayerischen Fernsehpreis ausgezeichnet
