Synopse

For the media they were the West Memphis Three – the teenagers arrested in 1993 and later convicted for the gruesome murder of three children. Wrongfully, as we now know. Atom Egoyan retells the story of hate, defamation and error in a gripping'and disturbing drama. At its centre is Pam (Reese Witherspoon), the mother of one of the dead children. She is appalled as the teenagers are prejudged by public opinion and then made out to be Satanic animals. At first, Pam is also convinced of the trio's guilt. ATOM EGOYAN (*1960) is one of Canada’s best-known directors. His drama The Sweet Hereafter won many awards, including the Jury Prize at Cannes in 1997.
