Synopse

In this tragicomic road movie based on the bestseller by Lucie Fricke, two best friends drive to Switzerland. On the back seat: Josef Bierbichler as a terminally ill father. Martha (Alexandra Maria Lara) and Betty (Birgit Minichmayr) have always shared all the problems they’ve had with their fathers. While Martha experiences the desire to die felt by her father Kurt (Josef Bierbichler), Betty misses her long-deceased stepfather Ernesto. What begins as an excursion to Switzerland becomes a road trip through half of Europe. Because Kurt is pursuing his own agenda – and Betty discovers during the journey to find traces of her father the astonishing truth that death is not always the end.
