Synopse

After the death of his father, Pier (Niels Schneider) returns from Paris to his home town of Antwerp, where his family have a successful diamond trading business. The young man with the criminal past is intent on revenge. He accuses his father's brothers and nephews of exploiting his father to such an extent that he died penniless. At first, however, he pretends to be interested in joining the family business. Step by step, he wins the trust of his relatives and gains access to the inner circle of power, where his uncle Joseph (Hans-Peter Cloos) and his cousin Gabi (August Diehl) are engaged in a power struggle for control of the company. In parallel, Pier is also working on his real plan: a spectacular robbery. Diamant noir is a stylish, perfectly timed thriller set in the Antwerp diamond district.
