Synopse
The peace and quiet of Reykjavik are shaken when two sisters aged 7 and 10 are found brutally murdered. Against her will, Inspector Edda Davíðsdóttir is put in the same team as her older colleague Schram and tasked with solving the murder. The two police officers work their way through a list of suspects who are already known to the police as sex offenders. While doing so, Edda comes across a name she knows well: her own autistic brother. Cruelty is a superbly photographed and cleverly constructed Nordic thriller, which constantly turns up new leads and keeps its audience guessing until the end and was a box-office hit in Iceland.
